World’s Dirtiest Man Dies

Image
World’s Dirtiest Man Dies After Taking First Bath In Decades For not bathing for decades, an Iranian man earned the moniker "dirtiest man in the world." He has since passed away. He was 94. The New York Post, citing state media, reported on Sunday that an elderly man known as "Amou Haji" (not his real name) passed away in the village of Dejgah. Haji had avoided taking a shower due to concerns that she would "get sick," according to the IRNA (Islamic Republic News Agency). However, "villagers had taken him to a bathroom to wash" for the first time a few months ago. After Haji began sleeping in a hole in the ground, the villagers built him an open brick hut, where he remained for the majority of his life, as reported by the New York Post. Haji's "emotional setbacks" as a young man were blamed by the locals for his eccentric behaviour. The Tehran Times reported in 2014 that Haji ate rotten porcupines and smoked a pipe made from animal ...

The first forms of yoga were designed as spiritual exercises and were based on a number of key principles that we shall go through in more detail below. https://lokmarg.com/the-history-of-yoga-from-villages-in-indian-to-bougie-la-studios/

Bollywood actors talk about prejudice against dark skin

Bollywood actors talk about prejudice against dark skin By  LokMarg   30th September 2016 (IANS)  Actress Tannishtha Chatterjee’s outrage upon facing a “racist attack” on a nationally televised comedy show has led several celebrities in Bollywood to condemn the idea of humour surrounding skin colour –a prejudice deeply rooted in the society. Clearly, Tannishtha was not amused with the ‘roast’ that she went for on “Comedy Nights Bachao”, and she wrote a Facebook post to vent her anger after experiencing that the only thing the hosts could ‘roast’ about a dark-skinned actress was “of course her dark skin”. Her post went viral on social media, leading to a debate on the limit to humour. Upset about Tannishtha’s experience, filmmaker and social activist Ashoke Pandit called the show “sexist”. “Why comment on Tannishtha’s skin colour? Never heard ‘roast’ masters commenting on skin colour of male superstars! Sexist. Roast Vs Racism,” Pandit tweeted on Wednesday, adding t...

Govt Claims Of Economic Growth Do Not Reflect In My Kitchen

There is a reason why farmers and job seekers have been demonstrating periodically across the nation, according to Amandeep Kaur, a teacher based in Chandigarh. I am unaware of any future RBI estimates or sarkari data on the nation’s economy. I am limited to talking about the day-to-day challenges I experience managing my household. The costs of cooking oil, rice, milk, gas cylinders, and other items are all at historically high levels, and these prices are the focus of my daily data. I’ve never in my life found running the kitchen to be such a difficult undertaking. The average person no longer has access to any vital goods. And I don’t see any relief coming any time soon either. It is more difficult for a low-income or poor household to survive. The rate of unemployment has never been higher. Farm income is declining. The fact that farmers and young people looking for work are opposing the government’s policies on a regular basis in different places is not a coincidence. They h...

Boycott Calls Won’t Work, Nor Will Vulgarity In Films

A director named Chandrapal Singh claims that the problem is not with a specific song but with a group of filmmakers who deliberately encourage vulgarity in Indian movies. There are various facets to the recent controversy surrounding the song "Besharam Rang" from the movie Pathaan. The first is the profanity in Bollywood songs, the second is the call for a boycott due to religious reasons, and the third is the whataboutery by digging up old Bhojpuri songs of various actors who are now BJP lawmakers. Please allow me to look at these elements objectively. Regarding vulgarity, the issue is not only with a specific song but also with a Bollywood clique that has made it a habit over the past few decades to make fun of our culture through music, dance, and other mediums. This particular "gang" of filmmakers is infamous for using provocative costumes or obscene music to grab attention through "hot" situations, all in the name of profit at the expense of declini...

China Has Unilaterally Tried To Change LAC: Jaishankar

S Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs, criticised China on Monday for attempting to modify the Line of Actual Control on its own (LAC). We had an agreement not to unilaterally amend the LAC, which they have sought to do unilaterally, Jaishankar said in an interview with the Austrian ZIB2 podcast, a daily news magazine of ORF television. Therefore, I believe there is a problem, a perception we hold that is a direct result of our experiences. West of the LAC, between the Pangong Lake and Galwan Valley, there have been recent flashpoints. The most recent India-China conflict took place in Tawang, which is in the east. Based on our experiences, I believe there is more cause for concern. We had agreements with China not to amass forces in our border regions, but they did not abide by those agreements, which is why we today find ourselves in a tense situation, he added. On December 20, India and China convened the 17th Round of Corps Commander Level Meeting at the Chushul-Moldo...
