Boycott Calls Won’t Work, Nor Will Vulgarity In Films

A director named Chandrapal Singh claims that the problem is not with a specific song but with a group of filmmakers who deliberately encourage vulgarity in Indian movies.

There are various facets to the recent controversy surrounding the song "Besharam Rang" from the movie Pathaan. The first is the profanity in Bollywood songs, the second is the call for a boycott due to religious reasons, and the third is the whataboutery by digging up old Bhojpuri songs of various actors who are now BJP lawmakers. In any case, I thought Shahrukh Khan's answer to the controversy was admirably cool and composed.
