The IBA Women's World Boxing Championships were held in New Delhi on Sunday, and Indian boxer Nikhat Zareen successfully defended her title by defeating two-time Asian champion Nguyen Thi Tam of Vietnam. India won the current Championships' gold medal with Nikhat's 5-0 unanimous victory. After illustrious fighter Mary Kom, Nikhat is now the second Indian female boxer to win several gold medals in the World Championships.  In order to win her second gold medal at the global championships, Nikhat defeated a player from Vietnam.
